A soprano ukulele with a Honduran mahogany body that brings out the inherent goodness of the ukulele!

This is a soprano ukulele crafted by Shunsuke Nishino, a luthier for W.F.G.C. -West Field Guitar Craft-.

While working at a classical guitar workshop, Mr. Nishino also produces ukuleles, guitars, and other instruments under his own brand, W.F.G.C. We have been following him for some time, and this instrument, which we ordered about a year ago, is the first W.F.G.C. ukulele to arrive at Ukulele Bird.

For this occasion, we entrusted the specifications to Mr. Nishino, aiming for a piece that truly conveys the brand's unique character. It features a Honduran mahogany body, crafted in a simple and traditional soprano style.

The rosette is adorned with a combination of Hawaiian koa, mother-of-pearl, and abalone, providing a subtle accent against the understated mahogany body. The fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony, and the binding is rosewood.

The sound is soft, rolling, and light. The warmth of the Honduran mahogany and the rustic tone characteristic of a soprano ukulele are delightful, and with nylon strings, it's an instrument that truly allows you to enjoy the inherent charm of the ukulele.
