An easy-to-hold concert ukulele with a beautiful Hawaiian mango body and exquisite decoration

This is a concert ukulele crafted by Shunsuke Nishino of W.F.G.C. -West Field Guitar Craft-.

While working at a classical guitar workshop, Mr. Nishino also produces ukuleles and guitars under his own brand, W.F.G.C. He is a luthier our store has been keeping an eye on for some time, and these two instruments, including this one which was ordered about a year ago, are the first W.F.G.C. ukuleles to arrive at Ukulele Bird.

This instrument is a gorgeous concert ukulele with a beautiful Hawaiian mango body and luxurious decoration.

The rosette is a style Mr. Nishino named "Jewel," combining mahogany, white mother-of-pearl, and abalone, and the outer edge of the body top is adorned with purfling inlaid with fine abalone.

It has a bright and sweet tone, with the light and crisp resonance characteristic of nylon strings. Replacing them with fluorocarbon strings can further enhance the sustain and resonance of the sound.

With its generally slim and easy-to-hold body shape, this model is also familiar to those transitioning from soprano to concert size.
