This is a used 2012 Truth soprano model, featuring the orthodox Martin shape, which Truth no longer produces.
It was a custom-ordered model for a specialist store in Ochanomizu, and it features 5A grade Hawaiian koa with extremely dense and curly grain. The appealing sound is characterized by a bright, clear high range typical of a soprano, a crisp and rolling tone, and rich sustain.
It shows some signs of use, with a few minor scratches that are not very noticeable. The pegs were replaced with new Gotoh UPTs after it arrived at our store, so it can be used in excellent condition for a long time.
Priced at about half its original cost, it's an excellent value.
Truth is a ukulele brand produced by Guitar Studio FourM, which has a workshop in Yatomi City, Aichi Prefecture, and is manufactured by two people, Norifumi Fukuhara and Tadashi Onodera. Its outstanding playability has attracted many players, and it is used by many musicians and recommended by many teachers, making it an unusually big hit brand for a small workshop. Ukulele Bard is one of the few retail shops that consistently carries Truth ukuleles.
