A show model concert ukulele that uses Honduran mahogany for the body and features a mosaic pattern, showcasing POROPORO's exquisite craftsmanship!

This instrument is a show model from POROPORO that was exhibited at the Handcraft Guitar Festival. It's a concert ukulele with an impressive mosaic inlay made by combining finely cut Hawaiian koa wood with a high-quality Honduran mahogany body.

Mosaic inlays are applied to the rosette, head, 12th fret, end graph, and back, creating a beautiful classical appearance reminiscent of stained glass.

The body uses high-quality Honduran mahogany with a deep color and dense grain.
The sides have a double structure, and by lavishly using the same material not only on the outside but also on the inside, it produces a rich resonance.

The X-bracing expands the vibrating area, ensuring good bass and sustain. While many instruments from this brand feature jumbo frets, this one intentionally uses medium-sized frets, traditionally used for ukuleles. The fingerboard has a radius (R-spec) design, making it easy to play barre chords and other chord forms.

While this brand often finishes the body with shellac, this instrument is finished with a dry oil, typically used for rifle stocks and grips, creating a matte appearance. The coating film is extremely thin, approximately 0.01mm, which minimizes interference with the top's vibration, resulting in excellent resonance even with a delicate touch.

Another nice feature is the monitor soundhole on the side plate.

The pegs are Wittner geared tuners, half the weight of UPT tuners. These high-end pegs, used for violins and other instruments, have a geared mechanism despite their old-fashioned wooden friction peg appearance, making them very easy to operate.

Due to the use of well-dried Honduran mahogany, as well as the aforementioned finish and pegs, the overall weight of this concert ukulele is incredibly light, making it very comfortable to hold.

From material selection to structure and finish, this instrument is filled with the luthier's passion and skill.
