This is a special edition concert ukulele with a Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The materials were all selected by Ukulele Bird Koyama at the Ayers factory.
The headstock veneer, fingerboard, and bridge are made of ebony.
The fingerboard features a supple, leaping cat inlay made from mother-of-pearl.
The entire body has a gloss finish, but the back of the neck has a smooth satin finish for improved playability.
The top is Sitka spruce, finished in a pale purple mauve gradient. The beautiful appearance, which adds a touch of individuality to the calm color, is appealing. To accentuate the beauty of the gradient color, this model's rosette does not use Mon Ami's signature ivy motif, but instead features a simple ring design made of mother-of-pearl.
Equipped with Gotoh side gear pegs specially ordered for Mon Ami. They offer lightweight, smooth operation and are designed with consideration for the headstock's weight balance.
The clear, rich overtones and excellent sustain of the sound are a major attraction.

"Mon ami" means "my friend" in French, and this brand was produced by Ukulele Bird with the concept of a ukulele that stays close to the player. Manufacturing is handled by Ayers Music, which is well-known for producing high-quality instruments. They carefully select solid woods such as mahogany, Hawaiian koa, and white mango, crafting instruments that prioritize natural resonance.
The label and inlay designs were created by illustrator Akira Kobayashi (Francegum), expressing the brand's warm and friendly worldview.
