This is a specially designed concert ukulele with a Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Both materials were selected by Ukulele Bird Koyama at the Ayers factory.
The headstock veneer, fingerboard, and bridge are all ebony.
The fingerboard features a gracefully leaping cat inlay made of mother-of-pearl.
The entire body has a gloss finish, but the back of the neck has a smooth, satin finish for improved playability.
The top uses Sitka spruce and is finished in a light purple mauve gradient color. Its beautiful appearance is captivating, offering a sense of individuality within its subdued tones. To highlight the beauty of the gradient color, this model's rosette foregoes the characteristic vine motif of Mon Ami, opting instead for a simple ring design made of mother-of-pearl.
It is equipped with Gotoh side-gear tuners specially ordered for Mon Ami. They achieve a lightweight and smooth operation, while also considering the head's weight balance.
Its charm lies in its clear, rich, and incredibly resonant sound.
