Matsui Ukulele's new model "Sora" is based on the concept of an old-fashioned look and a light tone. It is a concert ukulele with a spruce top and birdseye maple back and sides.

"Matsui Ukulele" is a handmade ukulele made by Yokohama-based builder Norikazu Matsui. He started making ukuleles in 2004, and his meticulous craftsmanship and sound have earned him a place among many artists.

The name of the new model Sora comes from the above mentioned Soragoro Uwanosuke (Japanese Ukulele Prayer/Vaudevillian). This is the shape of the Matsui Ukulele that Soragoro uses. It is a concert ukulele with a simple look and a slightly slim original body shape. It has a light and gentle sound with a good balance.

The wood materials of this instrument are a spruce top, a birdseye maple body, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The fingerboard has a gentle radius (400R), which makes it easy to press the strings.

Please watch the video to hear the fascinating sound.
