This model was produced to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Ukulele Bird. This concert ukulele stands out for its beautiful appearance, with five abalone pearl position markers and a head inlay.
This is the Matsui Ukulele Five-D Laughing Concert European Spruce Jacaranda.
This is a concert ukulele from the Laughing series, characterized by its oval sound hole.
The top is made of dense, beautiful European spruce, while the back is made of dark Jacaranda with a sap wood in the center. The Jacaranda sides also feature sap wood, giving the guitar an aura befitting a commemorative model.
The neck is a slim U-shape with a 36mm nut width, making it very easy to grip, and the fingerboard has a gentle radius (400R) making it easy to press the strings.
The dot position markers are arranged in an arc and gradually increase in size. The third marker is made of abalone pearl, while the others are made of white mother-of-pearl, representing the 5th anniversary of the ukulele bird and its growth. The top is finished with abalone pearl purfling and curly koa binding for a luxurious look.
The nut and saddle are made of Corian (artificial marble).
It has a clear, sparkling sound with rich overtones that is characteristic of spruce.
