A mellow, comfortable sound that has matured with age. This is a pre-owned Martin S-0 Uke from the 2000s.
This is a Martin S-0 Uke, a soprano model manufactured in the 2000s. The manufacturer's suggested retail price at the time was 45,000 yen (excluding tax), and it was released as a much-anticipated standard model that made Martin quality more accessible due to the start of production at the Mexican factory. This particular instrument is approximately 20 years old, and the wood has thoroughly dried and settled, resulting in a very mellow and deep sound that has lost the harshness of a new instrument. There are no major scratches on the body, indicating that it has been carefully handled and is in good condition, but the metal parts such as the pegs show age-appropriate dullness, giving it a calm appearance. A case is not included, but this instrument offers a rich, rounded sound unique to well-played instruments. Please enjoy the aged Martin sound, which is different from current models, in your own hands.

Martin
Martin ukulele is a traditional brand that was first produced in 1915 by CF Martin & Co., a long-established American guitar manufacturer. The brand was born during the Hawaiian music boom, and many models were released in the 1920s and 1930s. Many ukuleles manufactured up until the 1960s are still immensely popular in the vintage market today.
Production ceased in the 1970s, but was revived in the 2000s with the resurgence in popularity of the ukulele. They now produce reissue models and more affordable entry-level models.
