This particular instrument is approximately 20 years old, and the wood has thoroughly dried and settled, resulting in a very mellow and deep sound that has lost the harshness of a new instrument. There are no major scratches on the body, indicating that it has been carefully handled and is in good condition, but the metal parts such as the pegs show age-appropriate dullness, giving it a calm appearance. Martin ukulele is a traditional brand that was first produced in 1915 by CF Martin & Co., a long-established American guitar manufacturer.
