We've just arrived at this miraculous arrival: a Martin 5K, one of the most iconic ukuleles ever made, produced between 1922 and 1927. It's estimated that a total of 727 original 5Ks were produced. It's in collector's condition and comes with the original violin-shaped hard case.

The total number of original 5Ks produced is said to be 727.

This instrument was made between 1922 and 1927.

It is in collector's condition and comes with the original violin-shaped hard case.

The Martin Style 5K was the pinnacle of ukulele production during the golden age of the 1920s. This is an original vintage piece from that era, making it extremely rare and highly sought after.

The Style 5K features a luxurious finish, featuring carefully selected beautiful curly Hawaiian Koa and generous abalone accents. The tone is vibrant yet solid, retaining the distinctive Martin resonance that has been present for nearly 100 years.

The exterior shows numerous weathering marks typical of vintage guitars, including a few cracks in the paintwork. There is also a slight bulge on the top surface around the bridge, but this does not pose a structural problem or affect playability.
These paint cracks have been lightly sanded down in the past, leaving some areas slightly glossy, but no major work has been done to the wood or paint itself, such as repairing or repainting, and the original atmosphere has been well preserved.

Very few instruments are in such good condition and highly original, making this an extremely valuable instrument both as a collector's item and for playing.

Martin

Martin ukulele is a traditional brand that was first produced in 1915 by CF Martin & Co., a long-established American guitar manufacturer. The brand was born during the Hawaiian music boom, and many models were released in the 1920s and 1930s. Many ukuleles manufactured up until the 1960s are still immensely popular in the vintage market today.
Production ceased in the 1970s, but was revived in the 2000s with the resurgence in popularity of the ukulele. They now produce reissue models and more affordable entry-level models.
