This Soprano Pineapple is made from traditional Japanese wood, Chinese quince, and is the last of this model to arrive!
This instrument is crafted from beautiful Japanese quince, a wood that has long been loved in Japan. While slightly brighter than Honduran mahogany, it offers a melancholic, mellow, and gentle tone. The addition of a pineapple body further enhances the rich soprano sound. The lustrous gloss finish gives it a vintage feel that's different from the traditional LUNA. This instrument is packed with the charm of Japanese wood.
LUNA is a ukulele brand that was popular in Japan in the 1950s, revived by Kiwaya Shokai in 1993. It features the careful craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made instruments and a vintage look. After autumn 2025, all standard models will be discontinued, and only custom-ordered models will be produced. Ukulele Bird will continue to sell custom-ordered models unique to our store.
