This is a beautiful used 2024 model of the KOU UKULELE soprano long neck Deluxe model SBDR-LN, made by Tatsuro Furubayashi!

KOU UKULELE is a brand produced by Basis Records in Osaka, and uses carefully selected wood to create stylishly designed ukuleles, each one unique and different.

The ukulele is made by Tatsuro Furubayashi, who has been making classical guitars and ukuleles at Chai Guitar Craft for 12 years and has a career spanning nearly 30 years. Using classical guitar manufacturing techniques, the ukulele is handmade by a single skilled craftsman without the use of large machinery. Most of the parts, such as liners and bridges, are handmade rather than outsourced, and the rope-patterned purfling is also handmade.

The top is made slightly dome-shaped (using classical guitar manufacturing techniques), and the constant tension on the top increases its strength and produces a unique reverberant tone.

The finish is a high gloss end lacquer finish, with a mirror finish, and the body shape is bell-shaped (called B-shape).

This instrument was made in 2024, has a soprano long neck size, a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. It has herringbone purfling, a rope center line on the head plate, and a pickguard made of rosewood, making it look gorgeous and attractive. It is in mint condition with no scratches, making it a great used bargain. The hard case is also clean and shows no signs of use.
