A specially produced instrument to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Ukulele Bird.

The top is made of dense, top-quality Adirondack spruce, the sides and back are made of exotic-grained Jacaranda (Brazilian rosewood), and the neck is made of the finest Hawaiian Koa wood, which the artist himself selected in person from the logs in Hawaii.

The purfling, featuring synthetic turquoise sandwiched between abalone pearls, is extremely intricate, demonstrating Mr. Kawakami's savvy craftsmanship. The neck also features decorations on the sides, making this a top-of-the-line model. The tone is smooth, clear, and captivating. Kawakami

Kawakami Guitars is a brand created by Hideho Kawakami, a luthier with a workshop in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. He served as a master craftsman at Yairi Guitars for 40 years before retiring to found his own brand. Utilizing the craftsmanship honed over a career spanning more than 60 years, Kawakami's ukuleles are meticulously handcrafted, one by one, without compromise, and have reached a truly mature stage.
The joint brand Majesty, which he created with his son Yusuke Kawakami, who is active in Vancouver, Canada, is also gaining popularity.
