A vintage Kamaka soprano with a white label, made around 1973!
This instrument's features include a squared-shoulder body shape, Phillips-head friction tuning machines, a beveled koa fingerboard, a gloss finish, and a white label with the words HAWAII USA.
The body shape with squared shoulders dates to around 1973, and Schaller pegs were adopted from 1974, so this instrument is thought to have been made between 1973 and 1974.
The neck has a curly core, a flat shape, and a thin thickness. The headstock is also only about 8mm thick, making the overall weight very light.
The nut and saddle have been replaced with bone. It is in excellent condition with very little damage.
You can enjoy the sweet, reverberant vintage sound that comes with age.

KAMAKA
Kamaka Ukulele was founded in 1916. It is the oldest ukulele manufacturer still in existence in Hawaii. It is now synonymous with the ukulele and is also known as the "King of Ukuleles," and has established an unshakable position as one of the world's top manufacturers. The techniques and spirit cultivated in Hawaiian culture have been passed down without being lost even now, 100 years later.
They have received tremendous support from famous artists across countries and generations, including Eddie Kamae, Ota San (Herb Ota), Jake Shimabukuro, and in Japan, Kazuyuki Sekiguchi (Southern All Stars), Rio, and Toshiki Kondo, and the sounds they create are still heard all over the world today.
