This instrument is a show model created for Sound Messe 2026. It is a concert ukulele meticulously crafted by Akihito Michimae, a luthier at the custom shop, and is a distinctive model with great attention to detail. The top is made of dense, high-quality Sitka spruce, while the back and sides feature high-grade curly Hawaiian koa. Designed to resemble a scaled-down guitar, it features a pickguard made from beveled celluloid in a tortoiseshell pattern, giving it a very luxurious feel.
The string action is set low, making it very easy to fret and play. With a slender nut width of 34mm, the neck is also recommended for those with smaller hands.
It produces a well-balanced sound with rich reverberation.
