A concert ukulele made with a natural construction method, featuring a spruce top and mahogany back and sides.
The maker, Takanori Hamada, worked for a electric guitar manufacturer for 12 years, experiencing everything except painting, including design, woodworking, construction, etc., and now he makes instruments by himself, making use of the skills he has acquired there. The company was previously called Hamada Guitars Tokyo, but the workshop has recently moved to Niigata Prefecture and been renewed under the Hamagen brand.
He value a raw feel that is gentle on the body, and our policy is to use non-chemical methods in our production, sparing no effort in painting with French polish (shellac paint).
With its orthodox Martin-style body shape, this ukulele is expressive and easy to use in any genre, whether you play strokes or single-note melodies. The binding is made of Masalanduba, a high-quality wood used for walking sticks.
