Luthier Takanori Tsubota (formerly Hamada) worked for a certain electric guitar manufacturer for 12 years, experiencing everything except painting, including design, woodworking, and assembly, and now he uses the skills he developed there to make instruments himself. Previously, the company was called Hamada Guitars Tokyo, but the workshop has recently moved to Niigata Prefecture and been rebranded as the Hamagen brand.
We value a raw feel that is gentle on the body, and our policy is to use non-chemical methods in our production, such as French polishing (shellac coating), without sparing any effort.
The body shape is characterized by its narrow curve, and produces a well-balanced, clear tone from low to high notes. It is a beautiful instrument that is also attractive in appearance. Please refer to the video to hear the sound.
