Gengen Tomte's greatest feature is its unique construction, where the body is carved out of a single piece of wood. Inspired by the Andean folk instrument "charango," the rounded back shape combines an adorable look with a rich sound.
Because the body and neck are integrally carved from zelkova wood, not only can you enjoy the beautiful wood grain unique to carved-out pieces, but the rich sound produced by the integrated body and neck structure is also appealing.
The top combines spruce and black persimmon, with the contrast between the bright spruce and the ink-like grain of the black persimmon being eye-catching.
