A special custom-ordered Ukulele Bird model based on G-Labo’s popular mid-size No.365, featuring Purpleheart for both the body and neck!
The No.365 is a uniquely designed model with a 365mm scale that falls right between soprano and concert sizes. Developed to combine the portability of a soprano with the rich resonance of a concert, its exquisite size and rounded, edge-less shape make it incredibly comfortable to hold. Coupled with a smooth satin finish, the result is an instrument you will never want to put down. It offers an excellent balance of comfort and playability.
This specific instrument is a custom Ukulele Bird specification, ordered after being personally recommended by Factory Manager Moja during my visit to the G-Labo factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in January 2026. I selected the Purpleheart wood from Moja’s private stock on-site, and only two pieces were made. Purpleheart has a vivid purple color in its natural state, without the use of any dyes or colorants.
To highlight the clear, punchy attack and rich sustain characteristic of Purpleheart, we used high-quality, tight-grained spruce for the top. The abalone pearl rosette adds a touch of luxury, and we supplied the gold Gotoh UPTL tuners ourselves.
As part of the Ukulele Bird specifications, the position markers have been updated to highly visible 5mm dots, and the Ukulele Bird logo is featured on the headstock.
We paid special attention to the neck profile, thinning it out up to around the 12th fret to enhance playability in the higher register.
Comes with a dedicated hard case featuring the Ukulele Bird logo.
