A new tenor ukulele from the popular brand Craft Musica, featuring a rare Alerce wood top.

Craft Musica is a brand produced by Yasuo Takayama, who has a workshop in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture. It is supported by many enthusiasts for its high level of woodworking skill and unique design sensibility.

This instrument is a Craft Musica original shape tenor, and its most distinguishing feature is the use of Alerce wood for the top. Alerce is a type of cedar from Chile and, like Brazilian rosewood, is a rare wood listed in Appendix I of the Washington Convention. It has a tight grain and is very beautiful, producing a delicate yet rich, sustained tone.

The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood, resulting in a rich, reverberant, sweet, and beautiful sound. Please check out the video.

Ukulele Magazine 30 also featured an Alerce-top concert ukulele in its review, highlighting its sweet, delicate tone and highly expressive qualities.

The body binding, made with curly maple, also adds a touch of luxury and gives it a very attractive appearance.
