This soprano ukulele was crafted as an homage to the Martin Style 3K, produced around the 1920s. It's a soprano ukulele with a Martin shape, featuring a center line, ornaments, and diamond-shaped position markers at the 5th, 7th, and 10th frets.
The body is made of premium-grade Hawaiian koa. Both the top and back boast magnificent curly grain. With ample thickness in the materials used for both the top and back, this ukulele is structurally sound and built to last for decades.
It produces a vibrant, tropical sound, characteristic of Hawaiian koa, with a reverberating feel that resonates throughout the body. Please watch the video for the sound.
Craft Musica is a ukulele brand produced by maker Yasuo Takayama in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture.
After working for a semiconductor manufacturer, Takayama studied woodworking at Shinagawa Vocational Training School and then engaged in the production of custom-made furniture for eight years. He studied instrument making under Masami Endo of Songbird Guitar Workshop and launched his own brand in 2005.
He have captivated many customers by creating one-of-a-kind instruments that utilize their high level of woodworking skills and aesthetic sense.
