This is a used 2023 Craft Musica instrument, a reproduction of the Ditson shape made between 1922 and 1925, in the 3K style!
This instrument is a used item that our shop ordered from Craft Musica in 2023, and it is a model that reproduces the body shape that Ditson commissioned Martin to OEM produce in the 1920s. Compared to the normal Martin shape, it has less curvature and is closer to a bell shape.
The body uses premium-grade Hawaiian Koa with beautiful figuring. The decorative style is Martin's Style 3, with a diamond-shaped mark on the head and bow-tie style position markers on the centerline, a style that will be irresistible to fans of the 1920s.
Although it was made in 2023 and is only a few years old, it has been played frequently and therefore shows some signs of use. There are a few dents, but the instrument's playability is in very good condition.
It is currently set up for Low-G. Recommended for those looking for a good value used old-style ukulele.
Craft Musica is a ukulele brand produced by maker Yasuo Takayama in Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture.
After working for a semiconductor manufacturer, Takayama studied woodworking at Shinagawa Vocational Training School and then engaged in the production of custom-made furniture for eight years. He studied instrument making under Masami Endo of Songbird Guitar Workshop and launched his own brand in 2005.
