This is a custom-made concert size ukulele with a pear-shaped body and a one-piece Monkeypod top.
This instrument is a pear-shaped (la France-shaped) concert ukulele with a distinctive body shape, characteristic of Cotan Made.
Monkeypod, which has become increasingly popular as a ukulele material in recent years due to its unique striped pattern and warm tone, is used for the one-piece top, and combined with the body shape, it creates a striking appearance. The sides and back are made of warm mountain cherry wood. The back also features sapwood, giving it a beautiful look.
The nut width is a slightly narrower 35mm, and the neck thickness is just right, making it highly recommended for people with smaller hands. The fretboard has a gentle radius, making it easy to play barre chords.
It has a simple, light, and gentle sound that rolls like a pebble, yet it is rich in volume and has good sustain. The strings currently set are D'Addario EJ-53C black nylon.
