This is our second limited edition, tenor size model, made with a 4A grade Hawaiian Koa body and featuring an adorable hummingbird!
This is a high-end tenor ukulele model from Anuenue, a Taiwanese ukulele manufacturer known for its high quality and outstanding design.
The Hummingbird series, made of Hawaiian Koa, was ordered as a special order item in our store in 2022 and arrived in 2023. It was so attractive that it was sold out early. We received many requests for a second edition, but due to changes in the production system and rising material costs, it has been difficult. This time, the design has been further arranged and released with a more elegant look. It was completed after about a year of waiting from the time the design was decided.
The head features a flapping hummingbird, and the rosette features two hummingbirds hovering in search of flowers and their nectar. Like the regular Hummingbird model, it is inlaid with abalone, mother-of-pearl, colorful turquoise and other stones, but attention has been paid to the details, such as the use of blue for the hummingbird's wings and tail, and some of the flowers in the rosette have been changed from red to pearl.
The back strip inside the body is made of rosewood, and the letters "Ukulele Bird 5th" are inlaid with pearl. The meaning of "5th" is that next year will be the 5th anniversary of Ukulele Bird, and the 5th anniversary of our handling of the Bird series. The tenor is the last one, and there are no plans to produce it in the future.
