This is the show model of the ukulele brand Kakumae by T's Guitar, a famous Japanese guitar and ukulele manufacturer! A concert ukulele with an ovangkol body.
The biggest feature of Kakumae Ukulele is that it incorporates a system called 00Tune into its bridge structure, which allows for precise pitch and tuning adjustments for each string. Just like an electric guitar, the saddle can be moved back and forth with a single screwdriver, so you can easily adjust the octave tuning even when changing string gauge.
With its ability to produce accurate pitch, this ukulele is perfect for singing and playing with high chords, or for solo playing styles that use a wide range of positions.
This instrument is a show model exhibited at the Tokyo Handcraft Guitar Festival, and is a concert model with an ovangkol body.
Ovangkol wood is as lightweight as mahogany, but is strong and has a light, rolling sound that is its charm.
